In 1835, Lord King (as he then was) married as his first wife Ada Byron, the only daughter of the poet Lord Byron and his wife Anne Isabella Milbanke. He was created Viscount Ockham and Earl of Lovelace in 1838, and appointed Lord Lieutenant of Surrey in 1840, a post he held until his death. [3]

Biography. Rt Hon Byron King was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles. Byron Noel King was the son of William King (from 1860, King-Noel), the 8th Lord King, Baron of Ockham and Augusta Ada Byron, the daughter of the poet Lord Byron. [1] .
Her daughter, Ada Byron (1815-1852), a mathematician and computer pioneer, married William King (1805-1893), 8th Baron King of Ockham in 1835. He was created Earl of Lovelace in 1838. They had three children: Byron Noel (1836-1862), Anne Isabelle Noel (1837-1917) and Ralph Gordon (1839-1906).
