Prajadhipok (8 November 1893 – 30 May 1941) was the seventh king of Siam from the Chakri dynasty, titled Rama VII. His reign was a turbulent time for Siam due to political and social changes during the 1932 Siamese revolution .

King Prajadhipok's historical role as the ‘founding father’ of Thai democracy, in particular, lies at the heart of the Chakri dynasty's claim to democratic legitimacy — a claim that is now widely questioned, both at home and abroad.

Prajadhipok (prəchä´tĬpôk) or Rama VII (rä´ mä), 1893–1941, king of Siam (1925–35). He was educated in England and France. He succeeded his brother Rama VI, and in 1932 a coup forced him to grant a constitution, which allowed for national suffrage and a representative parliament.
The building was built between the reign of King Rama VI and King Rama VII, and recently restored to be a museum displaying the photographs, documents, and royal records in remembrance of His Majesty King Prajadhipok and Her Majesty Queen Rambai Barni.
