Academia María Reina is a 7th-12th grade school for girls in Puerto Rico that offers a bilingual and holistic education. Founded by progressive nuns in 1966, the school empowers young women to become leaders and agents of change.

Within a few years, missions were established at San Luis in Lajas and San Jorge in Santurce. This initiative grew and at its highest point, sisters taught in the Catholic University in Ponce, at Academia María Reina founded as a secondary school for girls, and in several parish schools.
