In the 1940s, Dolores began helping her husband on his tours entertaining U.S. troops overseas, and she continued to do so for over 50 years. In 1990, she was the only female entertainer allowed to perform in Saudi Arabia. At age 83, she recorded her first Compact Disc, Dolores Hope: Now and Then.

19 de jan. de 2007 · Dolores Hope, a very talented singer, was obliged to live in the shadow of her very famous husband, Bob Hope. Fortunately, she made a couple of beautiful recordings, albeit at a very advanced age. These recordings reveal a warm beautiful voice, accompanied by an excellent orchestra with superb arrangements of the songs.

In 1993 at the age of 84, she took some time to do something for herself and for her fans, she recorded her first album “Now and Then” and a new recording artist was born. Other albums followed, “Somewhere in Time: Songs of World War II,” “Hopes for the Holidays” with Bob, “That’s Love” and “Young at Heart” dedicated to Bob.
