17 de nov. de 2022 · The Television Academy Hall of Fame honors those who have made outstanding contributions in the arts, sciences or management of television over a lifetime career or via singular achievements. With the 26th Hall of Fame ceremony in 2022, there are now more than 170 individuals in the Hall of Fame since its inception in 1984.
The Television Academy Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to U.S. television. The hall of fame was founded by former Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS) president John H. Mitchell (1921–1988). Inductions are not held every year.

The third annual televised ceremony aired over NBC on April 21, 1986. Hosted by Milton Berle, the program included a tribute to the late Burr Tillstrom.
