Colonel Percy Wyndham (22 September 1833 – 27 January 1879) was an English soldier and adventurer who served in the armed forces of several countries and saw active service during the Italian Risorgimento and the American Civil War.

Even his birth was unusual: The son of Royal Navy Captain Charles Wyndham, Percy was born aboard His Majesty’s warship Arab in the English Channel on September 22, 1833.
A painter and writer, Percy Wyndham Lewis was a key figure in spreading the modern movement in the United States. He studied painting at the Slade School of Art and spent from 1902 to 1908 travelling around Europe, where he visited many museums.
30 de jan. de 2023 · On his first attempt, Wyndham was reportedly 500 feet in the air when the balloon burst apart, sending him crashing into a lake below. Wyndham’s body was pulled from the debris, and two doctors from the crowd attempted unsuccessfully to resuscitate him.

Percy Wyndham Lewis (18 November 1882 – 7 March 1957) was a British writer, painter and critic. He was a co-founder of the Vorticist movement in art and edited BLAST, the literary magazine of the Vorticists. [1] His novels include Tarr (1918) and The Human Age trilogy, composed of The Childermass (1928), Monstre Gai (1955) and Malign Fiesta (1955).
