Acock, whose six-decade career in architecture changed the face of Columbus and influenced planning decisions throughout the region, died at home on March 13, surrounded by family. He was 85. George was born August 2, 1938, in Trenton, NJ, to the late George and Elizabeth Acock.

George School is a coed Quaker boarding and day school for grades nine through twelve. The school educates students from nineteen states and forty foreign countries.
Pre-School Class Our center provides an excellent preschool class for older toddlers and younger pre-kindergartners. The teacher’s focus is to encourage faith development, self independence, creativity, socialization and language acquisition by participating in skills such as arts and crafts and music.
Founded in 1893 as a Friends School, George School offers a broad curriculum including AP, and the International Baccalaureate Program. World renowned, the IB diploma is a rigorous two-year course of study. A yearlong course in fine or performing arts is required of all students each year.
