Crest Animation Productions (formerly RichCrest Animation Studios, Rich Animation Studios and originally Rich Entertainment) was an Indian-American animation studio located in Burbank, California, United States. The studio's most well known work include Alpha and Omega and The Swan Princess.

Alpha and Omega series. Richard James Rich is an American director, producer, and screenwriter. [1] Rich is founder and owner of Crest Animation Productions . Rich started his career in the mailroom of the Walt Disney Studios in 1972 [2] and would give piano lessons during lunch breaks.

In 1987, the studio was owned by Nest Family Entertainment to produce and distribute educational animated Christian, Mormon (LDS) and historical videos for children such as Animated Stories from the New Testament, Animated Stories from the Book of Mormon, Animated Hero Classics and Animated Stories from the Bible.
In 1994, the two studios produced and released their first and most famous collaborated feature film called The Swan Princess, based on the classic ballet Swan Lake, it was distributed for New Line Cinema. Alpha and Omega is a series of animated films produced by Crest Animation Productions and distributed by Lionsgate Films. The first film was released in 2010 and featured the voices of Justin Long and Hayden Panettiere, though subsequent films were direct-to-video and therefore featured a smaller cast, primarily Ben Diskin and Kate Higgins.
Crest Animation moved on to producing direct-to-video films like the first four sequels to Alpha and Omega as well as new (CGI) sequels to The Swan Princess, until its bankruptcy in 2013.
