Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon, KG, PC (4 March 1526 – 23 July 1596), was an English nobleman and courtier. He was the patron of the Lord Chamberlain's Men, William Shakespeare 's playing company. The son of Mary Boleyn, he was a cousin of Elizabeth I .

Baron Hunsdon is a title that has been created three times. It was first created in 1559 in the Peerage of England for the soldier and courtier Henry Carey. His grandson, the fourth Baron, was created by Viscount Rochford in 1621 and Earl of Dover, in the County of Kent, in 1628.
When Henry Carey 1st Baron Hunsdon was born on 4 March 1526, in Hengrave, Suffolk, England, his father, Sir William Carey, was 31 and his mother, Lady Mary Boleyn, was 27. He married Anne Morgan on 21 May 1545. They were the parents of at least 10 sons and 3 daughters.
Hunsdon, Henry Carey, 1st Baron (1526–96). Hunsdon's mother was Mary Boleyn and he was therefore Elizabeth I's first cousin. Since Mary Boleyn was Henry VIII's mistress for a time, it was suggested that he was also Elizabeth's half-brother. He was MP for Buckingham 1547 and 1554.
