Galyani Vadhana, Princess of Naradhiwas (Thai: กัลยาณิวัฒนา; Thai pronunciation: [kān.lā.jāː.ní.wát.tʰā.nāː]; 6 May 1923 – 2 January 2008) was a princess of Thailand and the elder sister of King Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII) and King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX).
Galyani Vadhana, conhecida como Princesa Galyani Vadhana da Tailândia (em tailandês: สมเด็จพระเจ้าพี่นางเธอ เจ้าฟ้ากัลยาณิวัฒนา กรมหลวงนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์) ( 6 de maio de 1923 - 2 de janeiro de 2008) foi uma das Princesas da Tailândia e a irmã mais velha de Ananda Mahidol ( Rama VIII) e do rei Bhumibol Adulyadej ( Rama IX ).

The Princess has graciously gave her name to the new endeavour, the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music or PGVIM.
Princess Galyani Vadhana passed away on January 2, 2008, at the age of 84. But her legacy lives on, as does the profound impact of her work in Thai society and beyond.
Princess Galyani Vadhana saw in music a force that has the power to unite people; a practice that can strengthen the very fabric of society; anchor and ground its citizens as they brave together the turbulence of an ever-changing world.

The Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, Thailand takes a contemporary approach to classical music education, scholarship and performance. The institute was initiated in 2007 as a royal project celebrating the occasion of the 84th birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra.
