Blasters of the Universe is a 1993 2-CD set by Bootsy's New Rubber Band. The album was first released on the P-Vine record label and then by Rykodisc in the US and the UK. In terms of musical personnel, the album features more P-Funk and Funk alumni than any other Bootsy Collins related release.

Blasters was released much earlier in Japan, where Bootsy has toured quite frequently, on the P-Vine label. Blasters was made with an obviously limited budget, in Bootsy's own studios. This meant that too many drum machines were used, and many of the tracks had been sitting around for quite awhile.
