Dick Cuthell is a British musician and record producer. He plays flugelhorn, cornet, and trumpet, amongst a range of other brass instruments, including tenor horn and valve trombone. Cuthell is best known for his work with The Specials and Rico Rodriguez.
Signing to Dawn Records, Dick Cuthell joined on trumpet/flugelhorn, Chico Greenwood on drums and Alan Fealdman on keyboards. This final line-up of Bean, King, Martin, Cuthell, Hitchen, Greenwood and Fealdman commenced recording sessions for the band’s sole album at Pye Studios in London’s Marble Arch in September 1970.
Dick Cuthell was part of the second wave of bands that developed in Liverpool, following the success of the Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers and other bands referred to as ‘Merseybeat’.

20 de fev. de 2011 · Just before the Touch tour began its European leg, drummer Pete Phipps, keyboardist Vic Martin and Dick Cuthell were sacked and replaced. ‘I was told they couldn’t afford me,’ Cuthell said at the time.
17 de jul. de 2021 · The lineup at this stage included Bean, King, Hitchen, Martin, and three newcomers: trumpeter Dick Cuthell, keyboardist Alan Fealdman, and drummer Chico Greenwood. The year prior, Fealdman and Greenwood cut the album Liberation as part of the blues-psych band Jasper.
