The Lincoln School for Nurses, also known as Lincoln Hospital and Nursing Home School for Nurses, and Lincoln Hospital School of Nursing, was the first nursing school for African-American women in New York City. [1] It existed from 1898 to 1961.

In 1905 the school was registered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and in 1909 graduated its first three-year class.
The Lincoln School for Nurses Photograph Collection depicts some of the school's graduation classes from 1912 to 1960 -- The collection consists of group portraits of the graduating nurses, students attending a formal gathering, and students in a candid setting, as well as three individual portraits.
