Simone Forti (born March 25, 1935) is an American postmodern artist, dancer, choreographer, and writer. Since the 1950s, she has exhibited, performed, and taught workshops all over the world.
Simone Forti is a multidisciplinary artist who works with sculpture, performance, and sound. She is known for her collaborations with John Cage and other Fluxus artists, and for her explorations of movement and space.

Simone Forti, dancer/choreographer/writer, was born in Florence, Italy, in 1935 and emigrated to the United States with her family in 1939. In 1955 she began dancing in the San Francisco Bay Area with Anna Halprin, who was doing pioneering work in improvisation.
