Neil Ellwood Peart OC ( / pɪərt / PEERT; September 12, 1952 – January 7, 2020) was a Canadian and American musician, known as the drummer and primary lyricist of the rock band Rush. He was known to fans by the nickname 'The Professor', [2] derived from the Gilligan's Island character of the same name. [3]

17 de nov. de 2023 · Neil Peart was the drummer and primary lyricist for Canadian prog rock legends, Rush. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 alongside the band. Peart wrote several books detailing his travels (he was an avid motorcyclist) and personal experiences.
