Lawyer. Politician. Thomas Morris (December 9, 1861 – September 17, 1928) was an American lawyer and politician in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. He served in the Wisconsin State Senate and was the 22nd Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin from 1911 until 1915.

A lawyer from a landowning New York family, Morris (1752–1816) embraced the cause of independence and served as a delegate to the Continental Congress and the Constitutional Convention.
Morris was born on January 31, 1752, the son of Lewis Morris Jr. (1698–1762) and his second wife, Sarah Gouverneur (1714–1786). Morris's first name derived from his mother's surname; she was from a Huguenot family that had first moved to Holland and then to New Amsterdam. [4] In both Dutch and French, Gouverneur means "Governor".
