Tres Mts., a groove-oriented, soulful, hard rock collaboration between Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament, singer and guitarist Doug Pinnick (King's X), and drummer Richard Stuverud (the Fastbacks), began as a loosely organized side project for the trio back in the early 1990s.
Ament is also a member of the bands Temple of the Dog, Three Fish, RNDM, Tres Mts., and P.E.S.T. In 2008, Ament released his first solo album, Tone. His second solo release, While My Heart Beats, followed in 2012, and his third in 2018: Heaven/Hell.

"Tres Mts. (Three Mountains)" is the self-titled, debut release featuring dUg Pinnick (King's X) on vocals and guitar, Jeff Ament (Pearl Jam) on bass and Richard Stuverud (The Fastbacks) on drums. Also appearing on the album (as well as live) is Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) on guitar.
