Description of research and teaching. I teach and research at the intersection of these areas: social theory, cultural socology, historical sociology and globalization studies. My aim is to bring theoretical considerations to history and historical considerations to theory.
David Robert Inglis is a contemporary sociologist and academic. Education and career. Inglis earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Cambridge and then went on to complete his Master's and PhD in sociology at the University of York. [1] [2] He has been a sociology professor at the University of Helsinki since 2017.

10 de mai. de 2024 · David Inglis is Professor of Sociology at the University of Helsinki. He holds degrees in sociology from the Universities of Cambridge and York. He has held full Professor rank in UK universities since 2007.
15 de set. de 2022 · David Inglis (DI): The idea and the name were suggested by Chris Rojek. As you know, he is a cultural sociologist, among other things, and he was also a publisher at Sage. There was, to my mind, a sense in which this thing called ‘cultural sociology’ was a big and upcoming thing, including in the USA.
