- About Us
Professional Children's School (PCS) is a not-for-profit, college preparatory school geared toward working and aspiring child actors and dancers in grades six through twelve. The school was founded in New York City in 1914 to provide an academic education to young people working on the New York stage, in Vaudeville , or "on the road".
PCS is a college preparatory school for students in grades 6-12 who pursue careers or pre-professional training. It offers a flexible curriculum, close teacher-student relationships, and guided study options.
Professional Children's School is a college preparatory program for artists, athletes, and other young people who have professional demands outside of school. Founded in 1914, the school offers distance learning options and accreditation by NYSAIS and NAIS.
The Professional Series features local professionals on stage, primarily adults alongside some advanced student performers. This series presents professional quality shows, produced by performers, designer, and technicians of the highest caliber from around the State and beyond.
Columbus Promise Commits To Sending More Students to CSCC for Years To Come. In addition to tuition, Columbus Promise covers student fees, provides a $500 stipend each semester, and offers wraparound academic and career support.
Columbus Public School recognized the importance of early childhood education by establishing a Department of Early Childhood Education to oversee programs and practices for children, ages three through age eight.
