22 de jul. de 2019 · It’s a sad time for the roots music community in Arkansas and beyond after multi-instrumentalist and music guru “Smilin'” Bob Lewis of the Ben Miller Band, Tyrannosaurus Chicken, and other projects passed away Friday evening, July 19th after suffering from Stage 4 Cancer.
Arkansas music legend, James Robert Smilin' Bob Lewis, who resided in Van Buren, Arkansas, died Friday, July 19, 2019, in his home. He was born on August 21, 1951, in Paris, Arkansas, to the late Everett James Lewis and Leona Young Lewis Ebarb. He was 67 years old.

A man of retirement age, Lewis wears a gray beard to the middle of his chest, sits behind a pair of black sunglasses, and occasionally covers his scalp with a bright red top hat.
