Nicholas Paul Hasluck AM (born 17 October 1942) is an Australian novelist, poet, short story writer, and former judge.
In his latest book, Fact and Fiction, Nicholas Hasluck draws upon the diaries he kept while serving as a judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia.

Nicholas Hasluck records in diary-form his impressions of Papua and New Guinea during his visit there in 1963. Hasluck accompanied his father, Sir Paul Hasluck. At the time of the trip Hasluck was a law student at the University of Western Australia and his father was the Minister for Territories in the Australian government.
Nicholas Hasluck is that relatively rare combination of practising lawyer and accomplished writer. A former judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, he has also produced more than a dozen novels and as many works of non-fiction. This duality of roles is not unknown.
