Jokers Wild were a British rock band formed in Cambridge, England, in 1964. The group were active until 1967, and are best known for launching the career of guitarist David Gilmour, who went on to join Pink Floyd.
Minnesota garage rock band with a progressive rock sound. Formed in the mid 1960's by Dave Wagner and Gene Balabon who were both former members of The Aardvarks. They underwent several line up changes over the years before getting down to a trio of Lon Knight, Denny Johnson and Pete Huber, then finally ending in 1969.

"Jokers Wild" (later "Uncle Salty") emerged somewhere between the collapse of '80's Hard Rock and the onslaught of Grunge. Influenced equally by '70's pub rock / punk genres and the bluesy honky tonk of the "Stones" the band was often described as a cross between "The Cult" and "The Black Crowes".
