You wouldn’t know it from Are You Okay?, which runs like a well-oiled watch through a dozen different modern dance numbers. Instead of the wild blender of styles whipped up by Tornadoes, Are You Okay? keeps both feet firmly in the R&B/dance camp (save for “You! You! You!”).
A Syd Straw show is always full of surprises. From her days singing backup with Pat Benatar to her years with The Golden Palominos and solo career, she always seems to know how to have a good time. Syd now lives in a small town in Vermont, but she loves to come back to LA to record and play gigs.
