Dr. Billy Taylor, (Born July 24, 1921, Greenville, NC; died December 28, 2010, New York, NY) was the distinguished ambassador from the world of jazz to the world at large, served as the Kennedy Center's Artistic Director for Jazz since 1994.

30 de set. de 2006 · Here's a very satisfying trio album by the superb pianist Billy Taylor, with baritone saxophonist Gerry Mulligan joining in on three selections. Of the tracks with Mulligan, two are pretty ballads (ROUND MIDNIGHT and JUST THE THOUGHT OF YOU) and the third is a Mulligan standard, LINE FOR LYONS.
