As a private, coeducational boarding and day, college-preparatory school for students in grades 9-12 and postgraduates, Westminster School surrounds young people with smart, accomplished and resourceful adults who instill in their students the desire to pursue excellence in everything they do.
Westminster School, in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Westminster Abbey, St. Margaret's, and the Palace of Westminster, has several buildings notable for qualities, age and history.
Westminster is an ancient boarding and day school with a unique sense of place. It is, in fact, the only long-established school to remain on its original site in the centre of London. The School’s origins can be traced to a charity school established by the Benedictine monks of Westminster Abbey.
Westminster is an ancient school in the heart of London, the only one still to occupy its original site, immediately next to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.
With approximately 180 pupils registering to board each year, boarding life is an integral part of Westminster’s identity and is rooted in the history of the School. Every Westminster pupil belongs to one of the School’s houses, which are each named after people historically connected to the School.
