The group, which formerly included vocalist Richard Darbyshire, currently consists of founding members Anthony "Tich" Critchlow (drums) and Marcus Vere (keyboards, synthesizers) along with new vocalist Bryan Chambers.
Living In A Box were formed by keyboardist Marcus Vere and drummer Tich Critchlow in Sheffield, England in 1984. They met lead singer Richard Darbyshire a year later, by chance, in a local recording studio where they were working on demos.

2 de abr. de 2020 · Anthony 'Tich' Critchlow and Marcus Vere temporarily retired from the music industry after the band split. Tich has also run his own company providing bespoke illumination and lighting installations. After a brief time away, Vere later produced an award-winning series of educational DVDs called Here Comes A...! for pre-school children.
