Rude is a 1995 Canadian crime film directed by Clement Virgo in his feature-length directorial debut. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival, before having its Canadian premiere at the 1995 Toronto International Film Festival as the opening film of the Perspectives Canada program.

RUDE tracks the lives and struggles of three young urban dwellers during one Easter weekend. As the pirate radio disc jockey known as Rude broadcasts throughout a Toronto project, an artist named General arrives at the home of his wife Jessica after serving several years in jail for drug dealing.
In an inner city project, three people struggle against their demons and try to find redemption. They are Maxine, a window dresser depressed since she had an abortion and lost her lover ; Jordan, a boxer who has indulged in gay-bashing ; and 'The General', a drug dealer turned artist.
