Allan Holdsworth (6 August 1946 – 15 April 2017) was a British jazz fusion and progressive rock guitarist, violinist and composer. He contributed to numerous bands, including Soft Machine, U.K., The Tony Williams Lifetime, Pierre Moerlen's Gong and Bruford, in addition to solo work.

He has recorded and appeared with Dave Weckl, Sly & The Family Stone, Roger Waters, Jimmy Earl, Steve Winwood and numerous others. Contemporary world beat fusion with sax, flute, and EWI (electric wind instrument) virtuoso.
14 de set. de 2017 · Allan's lead guitar can be heard on five tracks, but "The Grand Pajandrum" has the most substantial Holdsworth soloing on the album. Additionally, in the early '90s, long-time I.O.U. drummer Gary Husband was playing with fusion-pop band Level 42, led by slap bassist Mark King.
