Brigadier-General Henry Edward Napier (September 1861 – 25 April 1915) was a British Army officer who was killed in action during the landing at Cape Helles in 1915, whilst leading the 88th Brigade.
Biography. Henry Edward Napier was born in 1861, and he joined the British Army in 1882 and served in the Royal Irish Rifles and the Cheshire Regiment in the Second Boer War before rising to command the 88th Brigade during World War I. He was killed in action during the 1915 landing at Cape Helles in Turkey . Categories.
