SAVE has been campaigning for historic buildings since its formation in 1975 by a group of architectural historians, journalists and planners. SAVE is a strong, independent voice in conservation, free to respond rapidly to emergencies and to speak out loud for the historic environment.

23 de mar. de 2024 · English Heritage looks after the National Heritage Collection of more than 400 state-owned historic sites and monuments across England. It cares for and opens them to the public under a licence from Historic England that runs until 2025.
15 de out. de 2023 · Several places score highly in the Heritage Index despite being relatively poor communities, including Burnley (33rd in England), Newport (10th in Wales) and Dundee (1st in Scotland), and rural areas such as Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria (15th in England) and Ceredigion (3rd in Wales).
