John of the Lithuanian Dukes (Jan Ochstat de Thelnicz, Lithuanian: Jonas iš Lietuvos kunigaikščių, Polish: Jan z Książąt Litewskich; 8 January 1499 – 18 March 1538) was Bishop of Vilnius (1519–36) and of Bishop of Poznań (1536–38).

This treaty lists 21 Lithuanian dukes, including five senior Lithuanian dukes from Aukštaitija (Živinbudas, Daujotas, Vilikaila, Dausprungas and Mindaugas) and several dukes from Žemaitija. Although they had battled in the past, the Lithuanians and the Žemaičiai now faced a common enemy.

Originally Gothic, the 16th-century residence of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania became a grand Renaissance palace. In the first half of the 17th century, they also acquired early Baroque features. Vilnius was one of the largest hubs in Central and Eastern Europe at that time.
