Hart's home recording studio proved to be a haven for the more idiosyncratic endeavors pursued by various band members, and he continued to collaborate with his former bandmates on various projects, most notably Robert Hunter's Tales Of The Great Rum Runners (1974) and Ned Lagin's Seastones (1975).

Here's what Nedbase has to say about it: "Billed as "Experiments in Quadrophonic Sound" with Jerry Garcia and Mickey Hart; however, Ned performed the entire concert (although not on stage), and Phil did the live quad mix.
12 de mai. de 2024 · Ned records his first 16-track music at Mickey Hart's studio - a composition of multiple over-layered tracks of solo piano, inspired by the Bill Evans album "Conversations With Myself". He also starts early "Seastones" 16-track recording.
Helping Lesh and Lagin on the record are Garcia, whose electronically altered guitar fits in perfectly, percussionists Mickey Hart and Spencer Dryden, and singers Grace Slick, David Crosby, who sing anti-melodic lines buried under many layers of electronics. It's an often intriguing record that lacks one major element: heart.
