Dave Heumann, leader of the beloved Arbouretum, branches out with his debut solo record, Here in the Deep. While Arbouretum was on a year-long hiatus, Heumann continued writing, finding himself with a collection of material that displayed a different style of songwriting than in his past efforts.
David Heumann and Nathan Bell’s work together began as each of the Baltimore natives had been working individually on instrumental pieces for banjo and guitar. For both, the experience of collaborating on the creation of instrumental music is a liberating process.

Dave Heumann is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and composer based in Baltimore, MD USA. Known for his work as the founding member of the band Arbouretum as well as many other projects, he has been active for over two decades as a bandleader and collaborator, writing, recording, and performing music in North America and Europe.
