Christina of Vasaborg (1644–1709) was the eldest child of Gustav of Vasaborg, Count of Nystad, and a granddaughter of King Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden. [1] [2] On 21 February 1665 she married in Stockholm Volmar Wrangel, Baron ( Friherre) of Lindeberg, (1641–1675).
Christina was the only surviving legitimate child of King Gustav II Adolph and his wife Maria Eleonora of Brandenburg. At the age of six she succeeded her father on the throne upon his death at the Battle of Lützen , and began ruling when she reached the age of 18.

Queen Christina of Sweden raised her illegitimate half-brother to the dignity of a count when she gave him the Countship of Nystad in 1647. He and his family were registered to the Swedish House of Knights as its sixth comital family.
