Raisins in the Sun was a one-off collaboration with Harvey Brooks, Paul Q. Kolderie, Jim Dickinson, Chuck Prophet, Sean Slade, and Winston Watson, recorded in May 1999 and released by Rounder Records two years later. Dreams Don't Count was released on the student record label MAD Dragon Records through Drexel University.
Raisins In The Sun was a collaboration between Jules Shear, Chuck Prophet, Jim Dickinson, Harvey Brooks, Winston Watson, Sean Slade and Paul Q. Kolderie. The group came together in Tucson to write and record an album together from scratch.
Jun 23 2023. Raisins in the Sun created their one and only CD in 2001 and it remains a unique artifact in the Jules Shear catalog. This time, Shear joined a band, what could be considered an alt-country/Americana/roots rock supergroup of sorts.
