Until 1811, there remained only the three schools: (1) RDS School of Figure Drawing; (2) RDS School of Landscape and Ornamental Drawing; (3) RDS School of Architectural Drawing. Then, in 1811 an additional school was established - the RDS School of Modelling - directed by the Irish sculptor Edward Smyth.

The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) is the Regulatory and Support body for Architects in Ireland. Support services are also provided for Architectural Technologists.
1820: The Dublin Society became the Royal Dublin Society. 1827: Permanent drawing schools were built beside Leinster House together with the gallery overhead which was used to exhibit the Society's teaching collection of sculpture and works of art generally.
The school was divided into three departments, each under its own master—1st, the Figure School, with Robert West as master; 2nd, the Ornament and Landscape School, presided over by James Mannin; and 3rd, the School of Architecture, established later under Thomas Ivory.
