Marcus G. Curry (born June 1, 1961), known professionally as Mark Curry, is an American actor, comedian, and television host. He is best known for his role as Mark Cooper, ex–basketball player turned teacher on the ABC sitcom Hangin' with Mr. Cooper which originally aired from 1992 to 1997.
Life and career. 1971–2005: Early life. Mark Keith Curry [1] was born on July 15, 1971 [2] in New York to Kenneth and Lillie Curry, and moved to Teaneck when he was three. His parents separated in 1983; Kenneth relocated to Atlanta in 1986, with Mark following later that year.
