Brownlow Henry George Cecil, 4th Marquess of Exeter PC DL (20 December 1849 – 9 April 1898), styled Lord Burghley between 1867 and 1895, was a British peer and Conservative politician. He served as Vice-Chamberlain of the Household between 1891 and 1892.
Lord John Joicey-Cecil, fourth son of the third Marquess, was Conservative Member of Parliament for Stamford. The marquessate of Exeter is the senior marquessate in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. The Marquesses also hold the title of hereditary Grand Almoner and Lord Paramount of Peterborough .

He was the son of William Alleyne Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Exeter and Lady Georgina Sophia Pakenham. He was born on the 20th of December 1849. [1] He married Isabella Whichcote, daughter of Sir Thomas Whichcote, 7th Bt. and Isabella Elizabeth Montgomery, on the 7th of September 1875. [1]
