Direct Admit Wisconsin is an initiative by the Universities of Wisconsin to proactively offer admission to qualifying high school students in between their junior and senior years of high school. A first-year student includes anyone who is currently a student in high school or who has not taken college coursework since graduating from high school. Starting on August 1 every year, you can begin applying to the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Academic Requirements for First-Year Applicants. Required Coursework. An applicant’s high school record should demonstrate both rigor and breadth in the types of course work they pursue. Applicants must meet the minimum course requirements listed below to be eligible for admission to UW–Madison.
Rising juniors and seniors in high school can apply to take classes at UW–Madison during Summer Term, where they’ll earn college credit for face-to-face and online courses. Students take courses with experienced college students and establish an official UW–Madison transcript.
