Rajvanshi Devi (17 July 1886 – 9 September 1962) was an Indian freedom fighter who served as the 1st First Lady of India as the spouse of Rajendra Prasad, President of India. [1] [2] [3]
Amit Kumar, great grand nephew of Rajvanshi Devi, released a photo book on her life and marriage with Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. The book was praised by the Governor and the present First Lady Savita Kovind.
Rajvanshi Devi, the wife of India's first president, was the country's first lady from 1950 until 1962. Devi kept a very low profile during this era and did not attend public events with President Rajendra Prasad.
Rajbanshi, Rajbongshi, or Rangpuri may refer to: Rajbongshi people, an ethnic group of South Asia. Rangpuri language or Rajbanshi language, their Indo-Aryan language. Rajbanshi language (Nepal), an Indo-Aryan language of Nepal, closely related to the above.
