Pêcheur d'Islande est un roman français de Pierre Loti, paru en 1886. Ce roman est le plus grand succès de son auteur. Il est également l'un des deux romans du « cycle breton » de l'auteur, avec Mon frère Yves [1].
Pêcheur d'Islande, c'est une histoire qui parle d'amour, de mer et de mort. Quand on est breton, on sait que ces trois thèmes sont étroitement liés dans notre univers social et culturel, comme le déhanchement des vagues qui viennent frénétiquement se fracasser contre les rochers sombres et tordus.

An Iceland Fisherman (French: Pêcheur d'Islande, 1886) is a novel by French author Pierre Loti. It depicts the romantic but inevitably sad life of Breton fishermen who sail each summer season to the stormy Iceland cod grounds.
