This book has presented an outline narrative history of three traditions of enquiry into what practical rationality is and what justice is, and in addition an acknowledgment of a need for the writing of a narrative history of a fourth tradition, that of liberalism.
liberals can discover in Whose Justice? Which Rationality? that they have been on a binge caused by a mind altering concoction which promised not only more than it could deliver, but promised the impossible. In MacIntyre's view neutral notions of justice, good, reason and truth are ungettable.
