Miriamm Wright is an American singer and songwriter. Early life. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. She moved to the Washington, D.C. area at age of five years old. Wright performed in various singing and talent competitions as a child. At age 10, Wright lost her mother to breast cancer.

Miriamm Wright McKinney. 24K’s powerhouse lead vocalist bares her soul with every note she shares! Miriamm has had the privilege of sharing her voice in places around the world in roles portraying the late, great Mahalia Jackson in the stage play “Sing Mahalia Sing”, to sharing the stage with Aretha Franklin and other musical icons.
This event was held in the Ballroom of the Armor J. Blackburn Center on the main campus of Howard University. It featured six speakers, the Kevin Howard Band and vocalist Miriamm Wright, formerly of the Peaches and Herb review.
