The Novgorod State Pedagogical Institute (Russian: Новгородский государственный педагогический институт) is a higher educational institution that existed in Veliky Novgorod in 1953–1993. Became part of the Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University.
In 1993 The Institute was reorganised into Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University. Today the University is one of the leading higher pedagogical institutions in Russia. For 80 years the University has trained over 50000 specialists in Education.
General Information. Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University is the largest educational institution in the North-West of the Russian Federation and the only one in the Novgorod region.
The Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University (orig. Новгородский Государственный Университет имени Ярослава Мудрого, НовГУ), also known informally as NovSU, was founded in 1993 by merging the two oldest higher education institutions of Veliky Novgorod: the Pedagogical and Polytechnic Institutes.
This program provides training for foreign citizens and stateless persons to master the main professional educational (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Specialist’s) and PhD programs in Russian.
