Synopsis. After falling in love with Russian countess Natka at a ball, diplomat Giorgio La Ferlita fights a duel with a rival where he is wounded. Having recovered, he receives a card from her saying that she loved him but was leaving. La Ferlita goes to the south, looking for her without success and gets another friend.
