The Karate Kid: Chang version. I recently watched the original Karate Kid film and immediately remembered the scene of Chang auditioning for the play. Jason Mantzoukas' role as the director is gold. He whiplashed the hell out of Chang to get the very best of portraying Mr. Miyagi. This is why I love Community.

All the main characters were cast with white Americans. Katara was cast because Nicola Peltz's billionaire father called in favours. Even Zuko was originally going to be played by Jesse McCartney till he was let go and replaced by Dev Patel (possibly to add some diversity). Reply.
26 de mai. de 2010 · Then the karate kid learns kung fu so he can kick better ass. Because apparently karate is for pussies, or something. That's like saying you're a black belt in karate when you're a kickboxer. It was going to be called The Kung Fu Kid, but studio execs decided brand recognition was more important then story or logic.
Share your burning hot takes and unpopular opinions! Karate kid (2010) is massively hated for no reason. People take a dump on this movie for no reason even though it is definitely better than kk3 and kk4 by a large margin. And Jackie Chan plays Mr Han to perfection. People hate it just because they are blinded by nostalgia.

10 de jul. de 2022 · I decided to resubmit Karate Kid 4 and it's a completely bad movie and it can be considered even a parody of the karate kid movies, it has some good moments but it doesn't save the plot being completely weak, an extremely generic villain and an unrecognizable Mr Myagi. 28 de out. de 2022 · Part III was just a bad movie; even at the time people hated it. Makes sense that The Next Karate Kid didn't even feature Daniel and was its own bad movie (though probably better than this one). Anyone but Ralph Macchio and you’d be right. It’s amazing to think he was in his 20s when he made the first Karate Kid.

I was just watching Kobra Kai season 4 Episode 10 and during a flash back scene to the original Karate Kid I saw Tom Cruise in the audience…very young Tom Cruise but nevertheless it was DEFINITELY him. I took a pic of the TV screen but no way to post it here
