In response to user consent issues, GEDmatch introduced an opt-in or opt-out option, ethically safeguarding users' rights to refuse to participate in law enforcement matching, with "opt-out" as the default setting ( Ram and Roberts, 2019 ).

Há 4 dias · I have Triangulated DNA segments at FTDNA, 23andMe, MyHeritage, and GEDmatch, and found many false segments (segments which did not Triangulate with other overlapping segments). In almost all cases these false segments are under 15cm.

18 de jun. de 2024 · Yes, GEDmatch is reasonably accurate in identifying matches. Unfortunately, in recent years, due to the proliferation of different tests by the various testing companies, they have had to modify their software which results (in my experience) in weaker matches than were previously identified.
1 de jul. de 2024 · GEDMATCH allows you to view matches of kits you have uploaded the results. You then can get a table view like below that can be used to help fill in RM info. (Basically you can copy the displayed results from the website into Excel or Googlesheets)
