Há 4 dias · The 5th Wave is the first in a dystopian trilogy by Rick Yancey. It was published in 2013 and a movie adaptation was made in 2016. The 5th Wave is a young-adult, sci-fi and action-filled novel. It's packed with twists and turns with a tinge of romance and plenty of deeper questions.
This makes this movie even more stupid and it makes even less sense now. There’s also a side plot where there’s kids being trained by aliens to fight aliens (they don’t know that they are aliens), and the characters are cringe. All the scenes with the kids are so poorly made and poorly acted.
