Erik Wolpaw: It is kind of boring to write for robots, we're happy to let the robots have plenty of human emotion. Wheatley is a sentient robot with human emotions. He can think for himself. He can feel for himself. And due to his inherent sentience, he possesses the capacity to learn and grow over time.
Did Jonathan Coulton or Erik Wolpaw ever reveal the extra character lore for GLaDOS? In a few interviews Coulton talked about how Portal 2 writers sent him all of GLaDOS' backstory/personality and how a lot of what was written wasn't in the final game. I was wondering if either Coulton or the writers ever posted it somewhere?

In an interview with Simon Parkin on the My Perfect Console podcast (via PC Gamer), Wolpaw first clarified that his previous public comments urging Valve to make Portal 3 were just “a joke.”
