Knowing pin 1 is a zero lift I usually start from pin 5 and work my way to pin 2 then reset. What I've been finding lately is I will feel the core fall into a false set and then none of the pins will move. I know there is heavy spring pressure on the 1100 so I always try giving it some pressure and seeing if it's unlocked but it definitely hasn't.
